“We all knew this would happen at some stage... but I am over the moon to announce new signing Dan Atkins. For those that know Dan, you'll know we've signed one hell of a player.

There's no denying, I've been trying to get him to Pershore since we took the job. Atkins is top class and will strengthen our squad and in particular, give us strength in an area of the pitch we need. He was not short of offers either, recently turning down rivals Westfields. Aside from his ability, he is a great lad who is no stranger to the squad here. He knows me and George well, from the success at FC Stratford last season and he was pivotal to our title winning season. He is adaptable to play centre half when needed and can play anywhere across the middle. You don't see many players with the traits he has, 6ft 5, dazzling feet, brilliant in the air and so calm on the ball. For our attackers in the squad, they will enjoy playing with him as he has the quality to find you all game.

It's a brilliant signing and a real statement to the league. To have signed Dan Atkins and Harry Grant in the same week, is a good place to be and we look forward to adding some real midfield firepower to our ranks.”
