Janes, who was subject to an approach on Friday, has opted to turn down the chance to manager higher up the pyramid to remain at Pershore Town Football Club.

Having only joined Pershore Town from FC Stratford in November 2021, Danny Janes has gone on to take numerous plaudits for the job in turning around Pershore's fortunes and finishing the 2021/22 season with a three strong trophy haul.

Following a hugely positive start to the current campaign, rumours circulated of an approach for Danny which was indeed waived in order to resolve the situation at it's earliest possible chance.

Danny had informed both Pershore Town and the potential club of his decision this morning.

"I am delighted to be staying at Pershore Town and to achieve the objectives we set out to achieve." said Janes.

"I think very highly of the club I was approached by and I was very flattered by their interest.

"I am enjoying my work here at Pershore and we have put so much time, effort and dedication in to be where we are now, it just didn't feel right coming away from our project at this stage.

"I want to fulfil what we set out to do and to take this club to the level is should be at.

"It was a decision that was difficult because the potential project was one that really excited me and the pressure that would have come with it I would have thrived under.

"Pershore Town is where my heart is, the squad we have put together are phenomenal as a group, the links we have created with the club as a whole, the fan base we are building and the trust the Chairman and Director of Football have put in us are so important for me.

"I want to repay that trust and ensure we deliver what we set out to do."
