Club Admin14 Aug 2024 - 17:30

Danny Janes has confirmed that two his side have now opted to depart the Football Club in search of a new side.

Both Dylan Parker and Scott Hammond have notified the club of their decision to leave the Football Club as they now search for a new club for the 2024/25 Season.

Two popular members of Pershore Town, who will undoubtedly be missed around the Football Club, but have made the decision to move on.

Scott joined the club during Janes' first stint in charge, joining from Racing Club Warwick and going on to feature fourteen times as Pershore Town lifted the Hellenic League Supplementary Cup, Worcestershire Senior Cup and the Smedley Crooke Cup.

With four goals to his name in that campaign, Hammond scored in the Semi Final of the Worcestershire Senior Cup away at Redditch United before converting the winning penalty in the Final against Worcester City and Bromsgrove Sporting.

Hammond departs the club having fallen just short of one hundred appearances and registering fifteen goals for The Plums.

"Scott was with us in our first season and has stayed with the Club since." said Janes.

"He has been fantastic for the Club on and off the pitch, I know a lot of people behind the scenes will miss him.

"He has created some great memories at Pershore, scoring against Redditch United in the Semi-Finals and scoring the winning penalty in the Final of the Worcestershire County Cup.

"I want to thank Scott his commitment and what he has done for the Club.

"I looking forward to watching his next chapter and will be supporting what ever he decides to do."

Meanwhile, Dylan Parker also departs Pershore Town in search of a new Club. Dylan signed permanently last season under former manager, Lewis Marston.

Parker had represented Pershore Town previously having signed for Danny Janes in his former spell to cover injuries towards the end of the season.

Dylan featured in both the Hellenic League Supplementary Cup Final and the Smedley Crooke Cup final towards the end of the 2021/22 Season, securing two cup final victories.

The former Rugby Town and Coventry Sphinx forward then scored ten goals in twenty four games during a difficult spell for the Football Club last season and despite scoring in the opening day draw at Slimbridge, has now decided to more on.

"Dylan is a player I have admired for a number of years and I was excited to work with him this season." said Janes.

"I will always respect any players decision and Dylan felt he needed to move on after a conversation we had.

"Dylan was a favourite with the supporters and I’m sure he will be over when he can to come and see them."
