Objective
To co-ordinate all football activities for the First Team, to ensure that all players and off field staff are provided with the highest level of support, to enable them to compete and perform at the highest level.
Responsibilities
To deliver the clubs vision, values and playing philosophy
Undertake tasks at the request of the Chairman and or Footballing Director
Communicate effectively through a range of channels including SMS, email, website and social media
Pre-Season
Appoint appropriate personnel, or ensure they are appointed
Assist in the planning and delivery of training sessions
Identify and assist in the pre-season friendly organisation
During Season
Coordinate delivery of PTFC88’s Football Plan.
Liaise between Players, Coaches, Director of Football, General Committee & Fans.
Ensure all equipment is available as required by the team and/or League and that it is in good working order – includes match balls.
Ensure all support staff are in attendance and are provided with appropriate equipment to undertake their specific role.
Oversee the maintenance and management of all training and match equipment
Co-ordinate submission of selection sheets and match reports after both home and away games, with the Match Day Secretary
Ensure equipment, e.g. kit and footballs owned by Club are retained by Club.
Relationships
Reports to the Chairman & Footballing Director
Supports the Coaches, Physio, Match Secretary, Football Support Staff including, Ball Boys, Bar Staff and Match Officials
Liaises with Officials and other Key Stakeholders
Accountability
The Football Manager is accountable to the Committee
Provide an update each week on the progression of the Team for the Matchday Program
