Four goals in the first half had all but secured the win for Danny Janes' side but his team still had to produce a workmanlike second half performance with Abingdon desperate to get back into the game.
Kirk Layton had handed The Plums a 1 - 0 lead with a bullet header before Aidan Clark doubled the lead minutes later. Aidan then turned provider as he set Beach to tap into an empty net.
Abingdon did hit back with a fiercely struck shot from inside Pershore's area but The Plums restored the three goal advantage a minute later which Beach's pull back deflected in off an Abingdon defender.
A second half strike for the home side proved the only goal and it was Pershore that took all three points in this one in a game Danny Janes knew would be tough for his side.
"We were really pleased with the performance and the ruthlessness shown in the first half in scoring four goals." said Janes.
"I thought we varied our play superbly, we built from the back, played through the lines but also recognised when to play in behind, every time we went forward I thought we looked a threat.
"We gave Abingdon a way back in by turning the ball over and not tracking their midfield player, who did finish it well in all fairness.
"The character then to go and hit back immediately was fantastic.
"Second half they really came on to us and I have to give full credit to Abingdon for their desire and resilience.
"We did have some fantastic chances in the second half to really kill the game which we didn't take, then we gift them an opportunity and they take it, frustrating as I felt despite the pressure we controlled their attacks well.
"Abingdon will take points off a lot of teams at their place, Jon has done a great job there and deserves a lot of credit for the work he has done.
"For us we now move on to Tuesday which I feel will be our toughest challenge so far, two teams who will go head to head and both look to take control of the game."
