The Plums fell behind in the game early in the first half from the penalty spot after soaking up plenty of pressure from the hosts.
Janes' side grew into the game and looked to cause the Quarrymen numerous problems, particularly in the second half.
Unable to find a goal that the performance perhaps deserved, it was Corsham that ran out winners to make it seven wins from seven in the Hellenic League this season.
"Firstly, congratulations to Corsham and their management team on what is an unbelievable start to the season. To win seven games in a row is fantastic, they have been consistent and they deserve to be where they are." said Janes.
"The amount of people from Corsham that said we were the best team they have seen this season is great to hear, but it also makes it even more frustrating because the league table doesn't lie, we deserve to be where we are because of the start we made.
"There are not many games where we lose and I come away with a sense of satisfaction. However, I thought yesterday the players were absolutely outstanding.
"Tactically they hung on every instruction we gave them, they worked tirelessly and their level of performance was exactly what we expect.
"First half we had to really defend and soak up a lot of pressure. Corsham had a lot of attacking threats with their rotations and movement, but I felt we got to grips with that and grew into the game the more it went on.
"We concede the penalty which is frustrating, but the reaction was excellent and we got ourselves into some really good attacking areas.
"Second half I thought we were by far the better team. We controlled the game, we were brave in possession and played through Corsham.
"Defensively the players were the best I've seen them, Jude has pulled off a top class save from distance but apart from that we restricted Corsham. We created some great chances but just lacked that final finish.
"I come away dissapointed with the result but pleased with the progress this week. A convincing win on Tuesday has been followed up by our best performance of the season yesterday. The new players have all been fantastic and they have lifted the team.
"The two performances I have seen this week have reminded me of the old Pershore Town. I have some big decisions to make next Saturday and I can't wait to make them."
