Brimscombe & Thrum are the visitors to the Recruit 12 Community Stadium as The Plums will want to progress into the Last 16 of this year's Marsh (Hellenic) Challenge Cup.
It'll be the third time this season the two sides have met, with Pershore Town having won both home and away in the Hellenic League. That said, the last time the two sides met became a tight affair despite Janes' side taking a 3 - 0 lead.
Our visitors this evening, The Lilywhites, are in a tough position in the Hellenic League, sitting just inside the relegation places. It'll be interesting as to whether they see tonight's fixture as a distraction to their league survival or whether they'll hope it'll provide a momentum changer to their season.
Tim Bond's side are without a win in their last 16 games, heading back to the 29th October for their last with a 3 - 2 success over Hereford Pegasus.
With just League survival and Challenge Cup success to play for, having lost to Cheltenham Saracens in the Floodlit Cup, you'd imagine that 'Brimmy' will see tonight as a huge opportunity.
They'll be heavily reliant on Raiyan Ahmed this evening you'd expect, one of a few players that has remained at The Meadow since the start of the season. Despite attracting plenty of interest, Raiyan has stayed loyal to The Lilywhites and has seven goals to his name from the wide areas.
Chalmers Phin is now up to seventeen appearances for Brimscombe in this third spell after joining from Royal Wootton Bassett. He'll be key this evening to Brimscombe's attacking play, the majority of their good work will go through him in the middle of the pitch.
At the other end of the pitch, Elliot Jones will likely be between the posts. Elliot has already played down at the Recruit 12 Community Stadium this season, he was the Roman Glass goalkeeper when Janes' side produced a superb comeback. Billy Thomas had been the Brimscombe keeper in the previous two times the sides have played each other so there'll be a change tonight with Billy having left for Longlevens.
As for The Plums tonight, Janes will no doubt want to progress into the next round and isn't shy of confirming the clubs intentions with regards to cup success.
Danny Janes' side are in good form heading into this evening's game, with eleven wins in the last fifteen games.
The Plums have given themselves a slim chance of Hellenic League Premier Division Play-Offs, but they'll not be able to afford any slip ups in their final ten league fixtures.
That said, tonight isn't about the league and Janes will be hoping to utilise his squad tonight to keep this fresh and add further energy to the performance following Saturday's last minute winner at Sixways Stadium.
Bailey Fuller has been in impressive form of late, he's scored in his last three appearances after returning to the side. Janes is unlikely to take Bailey out for tonight's game.
Taylor Eades could be one coming in to start, he was bench unused on Saturday after sitting out the game previous due to suspension. Meanwhile, Sacha Everard missed the Worcester Raiders game through suspension and he too could be handed a start under the lights at the Recruit 12 Community Stadium.
"Another game we are looking forward to in a competition we want to go as far as we can in." said Janes.
"We have played Brimscombe twice this season and won both times, in the second game they really pushed us and nearly took the game away from us.
"I'm sure they will want to come here and cause us problems, winning gives you momentum and both sides will want that.
"The side will change slightly tonight as we manage the squad, the players coming in will need to be at their best."
