The Plums are yet to beat Hartpury University, the students doing the double over Danny Janes' side during Pershore's title winning season in Hellenic League Division One.
Hartpury visited the Recruit 12 Community Stadium back in August, coming away with a 4 - 1 win as Pershore's poor start continued.
The Plums however are very much a different outfit from the side that played, with four of the starting eleven having now left the club.
For our hosts, after storming to the Hellenic League Division One title last season, they're now sitting very comfortable at the summit of Hellenic League Premier Division.
The Acorns haven't lost in the league since September, that's no defeats in their last twenty league games.
Louis Manning leads the way in the scoring charts, he's scored thirteen in all competitions attacking from wide areas, whilst Luke Salter is just behind with ten to his name.
Josh Roney will marshall the backline; the former Stoke City graduate has been in impressive form for Hartpury all season.
Another to look out for is Steve Sarkodie between the sticks; a very good goalkeeper with some excellent experience. He's crucial to how Hartpury will look to build their attacks.
Lastly, Jacob Towns and Nathan Jenkins will be the enginge room in midfield. A lot of what Hartpury do this evening will go through those two and Jenkins has chipped in himself with a number of goals already this season.
For The Plums, it's three wins on the bounce heading into tonight's fixture. Danny Janes' side have lost just the once in the league in their last nine games and that form has seen them climb to ninth in the table.
On Saturday Pershore broke the Malmesbury curse, the hosts in that fixture have always won previously. A 5 - 0 win reflected the performance, comfortable for the majority and in truth, 5 - 0 could've been a few more.
This evening poses a similar objective for The Plums in that they have never beaten Hartpury, infact, The Acorns have always won in the three previous competitive fixtures.
A hat-trick on Saturday saw Aidan Clark notch up goal number 13, 14 and 15 for the season! He leads the way in the scoring charts but a brace from James Baldwin against Malmesbury means he's not far behind with twelve goals.
Sacha Everard returns to the squad this evening following his festive break, whilst Luke Carsley and Bo Morris have created a solid partnership in his absence.
Danny Janes boasts a fully fit squad to chose from this evening which will undoubtedly create some selection headaches but The Plums managers knows just how tough of a task tonight will be.
"Hartpury away is our toughest game of the season against the best team in the league." said Janes.
"Hartpury have shown their quality and deserve to be top of the table. They have outstanding technical players and a manager who is fantastic at what he does.
"We are in good form and I’m happy with where we are at the moment in terms of progress. I back these players to win any game of football and I fully back them in this fixture.
"We will have to be close to perfect tonight, if we can reach those levels, we have every chance of coming away with the result we want."
