The Plums will make the short trip down the M5 to Gloucestershire to take on a Craig Martin's and Mike Palmer's Levens' side who will be looking to avenge the defeat against Pershore Town in the reverse fixture back in September 2024.
The hosts were gifted an extended break in the calendar in mid-week when their Challenge Cup tie against Abingdon United was postponed. Levens' come into tomorrow's game having picked up a 1 - 1 draw away to Hereford Pegasus last time out.
Three wins and a draw in their last seven league games leaves Longlevens are one of the form sides in the Hellenic League Premier Division, all three wins and the draw coming away from home.
Finlay Gwillim leads the way in the scoring charts, he's got six goals to his name in his nine appearances this season. The speedster scored twenty goals in nine games for Evesham United Development during the 2022/23 Season but is currently studying at Durham University and plays for Durham United in the Wearside League Premier Division, they'll be no guarantee he'll be playing against The Plums tomorrow.
Shaun O'Connor and Cameron Williams are just behind Finlay in the scoring charts, they both have four to their name. Both are likely to feature in Longlevens' midfield tomorrow afternoon and Cameron scored the only goal of the game against Danny Janes' side back in the September fixture at the Recruit 12 Community Stadium.
Monty New is a new signing for Craig and Mike's side, he's joined from Bishop's Cleeve where game time has been hard to come by. He joined Cleeve in the summer from Winchcombe Town, stepping up six levels, after scoring 31 times during the 2023/24 Season in the Cheltenham League.
Another play for Janes' side to look out for will be Shiyak Sutherland, the fast paced frontman caused The Plums numerous problems in the season opener when playing for Slimbridge AFC, he's featured sixteen times now this season for Levens' after returning to the club.
Oli Long will likely captain Longlevens tomorrow at Saw Mills End, he'll slot in at the heart of the defence and is impressive in organising the back line and stepping in to build attacks from the back. Long has featured well over two hundred times for Longlevens' now and despite various amounts of interest, he's stayed loyal to the Gloucestershire side.
For Danny Janes' side, tomorrow will need to be a refocus after finding success in the Marsh (Hellenic) Challenge Cup on Tuesday evening under the lights at the Recruit 12 Community Stadium.
The Plums have won twelve from sixteen in all competitions, with a draw against Highworth Town also within that mix. Janes' side have picked up twenty eight points from a possible thirty six in their last twelve league games and have pulled themselves within a slim chance of making this season's play-offs.
A last minute winner away to Worcester Raiders last Saturday at Sixways Stadium was backed up on Tuesday evening with an 8 - 0 win over Brimscombe & Thrupp, but Longlevens AFC at Saw Mills Ends will produce a much different task to what Janes' side have faced in recent weeks.
Aidan Clark added his sixteenth goal of the season on Tuesday evening after coming off the bench, whilst James Baldwin sits behind him on twelve for the campaign and Bailey Fuller now on eleven for the season.
In truth, Danny Janes' has goals in all of his front men, Harlie Price added three to his season's total on Tuesday, taking him up to nine whilst Zaq Hussain now sits on seven after opening the scoring from the penalty spot.
With suspensions all served, they'll be a full squad to select from for the young manager and with that will come some difficult selection choices.
The only doubt could be that of Bo Morris, he was set to start on Tuesday evening but a late illness saw him miss out. Jake Donnelly, James Douglas, Nathan Benson and Aidan Clark all came out of the team on Tuesday, but after an 8 - 0 win Janes has choices to make in who starts tomorrow.
With Wednesday's game at Highworth Town now postponed, The Plums will get a rest prior to next week's trip to Lydney Town and maybe this could impact Janes' choices.
"Really difficult game, Longlevens is a difficult place to go and they have picked up some really positive results recently." said Janes.
"The players have worked themselves into a position where they have a fighting chance, that can easily be taken away with a below par performance that doesn't merit anything from the game.
"We will need to be at it from the start, we'll need all 16 players on their game if we are to come away with the result that we need."
