Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division
Saturday | 3pm KO | That Carpet Place Community Stadium
Pershore Town return to league action on Saturday as they host Cribbs at the That Carpet Place Community Stadium, with both sides looking to gain valuable ground in the Premier Division table.
Cribbs arrive in Worcestershire currently sitting 20th, having endured a difficult league campaign to date, but they remain a side capable of causing problems. They come into the game buoyed by a 4–3 County Cup victory over Chipping Sodbury Town in midweek and have picked up points this season against sides in and around Pershore. Despite their position, several of their league defeats have been by fine margins, underlining that they are far from pushovers.
This fixture represents the first meeting between the two sides this season, adding an extra layer of intrigue to Saturday’s contest.
Pershore currently sit 15th, seven points clear of Cribbs, and will be keen to build some momentum after a frustrating run of results that has not always reflected recent performances. While goals have been hard to come by in recent weeks, there have been encouraging signs, particularly away to Highworth Town and Thornbury Town, where Pershore showed improved creativity and control.
The promising run was interrupted by defeat to Mangotsfield United, but the management remains confident the tide will turn. The squad continues to evolve, with recent additions settling in well, and Lucas Colley remains the only long-term absentee, with a return expected in the coming weeks.
With both sides eager to start climbing the table and a tight league taking shape around them, Saturday’s encounter feels an important one for both teams as the season enters its next phase.
