Parker To Stay At Pershore

Parker To Stay At Pershore

Club Admin28 Jul 2024 - 09:38

Striker, Dylan Parker, is the latest player to be retained by Danny Janes ahead of the imminent 2024/25 Hellenic League Season.

After coming through the Youth Teams at Stratford Town, Dylan broke into open aged football at 16 for Knowle during the 2016/17 Season, scoring four in eighteen appearances.

A switch to FC Stratford ahead of the 2017/18 Season, Dylan's twelve goals in six appearances soon gained the youngster interest.

By October 2017, Dylan signed for Walsall before turning Professional in July 2018.

With three EFL Trophy appearances under his belt, Dylan moved on loan to Rushall Olympic in January 2019 before joining Leamington on loan in March 2019.

After leaving Walsall, Dylan returned to his roots in joining Stratford Town before going on to feature for Stratford Town.

By September 2019, Parker had linked up with former Stratford Town manager, Carl Adams, at Rugby Town where the striker featured for The Valley over three seasons.

Thirty six goals for Rugby Town, Dylan joined Racing Club Warwick at the end of the 2021/22 Season, scoring three times in eight appearances.

With five goals in twelve games at the start of the 2022/23 Season, Parker joined Rugby Town's divisional rivals, Coventry Sphinx in November 2022. Nine goals in twenty appearances helped Sphinx to promotion from Step Five into Step Four.

After beginning the 2023/24 Season at Step Four with Coventry Sphinx, Dylan joined Lewis Marston's Pershore Town side in November.

With ten goals in twenty-four appearances for the club last season, Janes is looking forward to working properly with the striker.

"Dylan has a top pedigree at this level and is well known for his footballing ability." said Janes.

"I’ve always wanted to work with Dylan, he has played a handful of games for me but I’ve never had him long term.

"Dylan is another player who, in my opinion, can do everything in terms of forward play. He is a clever player who can receive the ball in tight areas and can also run in behind. He is a natural finisher who is deadly in the 18 yard box.

"He is more than capable of finishing as our top scorer this season and being right up there in the goal scoring charts in the league.

"Again, that key word consistency is a crucial element for Dylan this season. If he can maintain that sharpness and shows his hunger which I know he will, he will be a real threat for all teams.

"I am really excited at the prospect of finally working with and I look forward to seeing what he can produce."

After featuring for Danny Janes on a couple of occasions, Dylan is looking forward to working with DJ on a permanent basis.

"I'm really happy to be staying at Pershore Town." said Parker.

"Having joined last season, it's an easy club to grow fond of very quickly and it didn't take me long to feel at home.

"Getting the chance to work properly with DJ is something that I've wanted to do, I've played a couple of games under his management but never long term so I'm excited for that.

"I've played under TM before and I know the professionalism he brings to the table, that's something I'm looking forward to once again.

"Only a few days away now from the start of the season and I'm excited to get going with a really good group of lads."
