Quintas Moves to Step 4 as Squad Sees Recent Changes

Quintas Moves to Step 4 as Squad Sees Recent Changes

Club News5 Dec - 13:00

Yuri Quintas leaves Pershore for Step 4 Malvern, with Joel Hill departing and Lucas Edmonds arriving to strengthen the squad.

Pershore Town can confirm a number of recent comings and goings within the first team squad, headlined by the departure of winger Yuri Quintas, who has completed a move to Malvern Town of Step 4.

Yuri has been managed by Dev Ward and Ashley Banner four the last four and a half seasons across Pershore Town and New Dales Vale overseeing his rise from Step 8 of the pyramid to moving on now to Step 4. During his time with Pershore he has established himself as one of the club’s most exciting and attacking players.

This Yuri made 19 appearances, scoring five goals and providing four assists, including a standout performance in the 7–2 Worcestershire Senior Cup win at Malvern, where he particularly caught the eye of his new club. Despite turning down multiple approaches from Step 5 sides earlier in the season, and even one from Step 4, Yuri felt that this was the right time and the right opportunity to challenge himself at a higher level.

Everyone at Pershore Town thanks Yuri for his performances over the season and wishes him every success as he steps up the pyramid.

Further Departures

The club can also confirm that forward Joel Hill has moved on. Joel made 22 appearances in all competitions for Pershore, scoring three goals and registering two assists. We wish Joel well for the future and thank him for his contribution during his time at the club.

New Arrival: Lucas Edmonds

Joining the Plums in recent weeks is Lucas Edmonds, who made his first appearance in the Wiseman Floodlit Cup tie against Ludlow Town before featuring again from the bench on Tuesday night away to Worcester City.

Lucas brings vast Step 5 experience despite still being relatively young, having represented Studley, Droitwich Spa, OJM, Cradley Town, Dudley Town and Smethwick Rangers. He also previously played for Pershore earlier in his career, and the club is delighted to welcome him back as he strengthens the attacking options available to the management team.

Lucas joins Chris Gregan, Cal Harper and Kyle Clayton who have all joined the club over the last couple of months. Chris joins as an experienced defender, whilst winger Cal Harper joined from Worcester Raiders and Kyle Clayton on dual registration from Worcester City.

Pershore Town would like to thank all departing players for their contributions and look forward to seeing the continued impact of new additions as we move into a busy period of fixtures.
