With the festive period over, we welcomed back a fairly full schedule within our Youth Team at the weekend.

We'll start on Thursday evening where Mike Bishop's Under 18's welcomed Stourport Swifts to the AIM Community Stadium for a Midland Floodlit Youth League Southern Division fixture! Ollie Smith and Louis Harrison scoring for The Plums in a 2 - 0 win lifting Pershore to fifth in the league and just three points behind current league leaders, Malvern Town.

Andy Medler's Under 7's kicked us off on Saturday where they faced Drakes Broughton at Eckington. In a close encounter, The Plums came up just short against their opposition whilst Aidan, Ethan and George got the goals for Pershore.

Tim Brown's Under 8's played out an even game against Meon Vale at Abbey Park School! Cammy was on the scoresheet alongside Bradders after young Alfie had run the length of the pitch to deliver a cross for the second.

Meanwhile, Tim Brown's Under 9's secured a positive result following the Under 8's in what had become a muddy pitch! They welcomed Broadway to Abbey Park School and Harry scored twice with Oscar and Ollie also on the scoresheet.

David Saunders' Under 10's produced a performance that pleased their manager against Alcester Town. The Romans toppling The Plums in this one despite a brilliant goal from Karlton.

AJ Mountain's Under 11's recorded a positive result after a tough first half of the season. They were away at Welland with Lucas (2), Harry S (2) and Harry M on the scoresheet.

Jon Dean's Under 11 Bullets started 2023 with a very impressive result and performance away at Inkberrow; Reece and Jude both scoring in this one.

Richard Morley's Under 12's were held to a 2 - 2 draw away at Alcester Town on Saturday, Charlie and Kelton on the scoresheet for The Plums in this one.

Unfortunately Pershore's Under 12 Girls' saw their game called off with a number missing through illness.

Steve Barker and Justin Challenger's Under 13's fell to defeat at home to Alcester Town! The Romans scoring a solitary goal to seal a 1 - 0 victory over The Plums.

Phil Haines' Under 14's fell to a disappointing 4 - 0 defeat on Saturday away to City Juniors at RGS The Grange.

Simon Hulse's Under 15's from the Evesham Ambassador League ran riot at home to Moreton Rangers on Saturday morning. On a tricky pitch, The Plums secured a 9 - 1 win over their opposition with goals from Joe Greening (3), Oli Paluch (2), Arran Webster, Ellis Williamson and Junior Ceita.

Danny Hilditch's Under 15's in the Midland Junior Premier League secured a big win away against Sutton Coldfield Town on Saturday! Callum Jenkinson, Ali Sadler and Alfie Smith in the goals for a 3 - 1 win.

Kevin Brotherton's and Mick Hobbs' Under 18's progressed in the Worcestershire FA County Cup following a penalty shoot-out win over Droitwich Spa. Two second half goals from Ronan Coghlan saw the game finished 2 - 2 at full time. A huge save from Josh Read Jones in the shootout put the pressure on Droitwich who missed their spot kick to send The Plums through in this one; 4 - 3.

Onto Sunday and Stuart Townsend's Under 14's had their game called off on the back pitch at the AIM Community Stadium against Perdiswell Colts! Two games on Saturday left the pitch unable to recover in time for Sunday's action.

Jay Morgan's Under 15's had to settle for a draw in the Cheltenham Sunday League against Charlton Rovers. On a pitch that was extremely difficult, it was a Junior Ceita penalty that picked up a point for The Plums.

James Moreton's Sunday Team took on TDMS away on Sunday morning in the Evesham & District Sunday League Knockout Cup; Declan Juliff's goal securing a 1 - 0 win for The Plums to set up a Quarter Final tie away against Fladbury.
