Beginning on Saturday and in age order, we've Leanne Reynolds Under 7's who never stopped into their opening fixture against AK Wasps. A first ever game for the Under 7's and they left their manager feeling very proud!
Andy Medler's Under 9's stepped into the MJPL for the forthcoming season and were handed an opening day trip to Chaddesley Ravens to begin their campaign. Whilst the result wasn't what the young Plums would've wanted, they'll be plenty to progress on in a highly competitive league.
Tim Brown's Under 10's enjoyed their morning with an end to end game of football against Bretforton. Oscar scored twice for Tim's side in this one.
Tim Brown's Under 11's ran out on the main pitch at Pershore Town where they hosted Moreton. Despite a good start to the game, Tim's side found it tough going after securing promotion into Pool A last season but there's plenty of time to develop for the young ones this season.
Peter Wood's Under 12's played out an entertaining 5 - 5 draw on Saturday.
AJ Mountain's Under 13's began their season with a win in Division Three of the Mercian Junior Football League after hosting Leigh & Bransford Badgers. George Jones and Jacob Stokes both scored twice whilst Lewis Brown and Oliver Lawson also got themselves on the scoresheet with the youngsters running out 6 - 4 winners.
Jon Dean's Under 13 Bullets (pictured) travelled to Alcester Town to begin their season, always a tough fixture in the calendar. With plenty of new players involved, The Plums did brilliantly to come away with a 2 - 2 draw with a fantastic performance. Edward and Jude on the scoresheet for Jon's side this season who will hope to build off their promising start.
Rich Morley's Under 14's started their season in the MJPL with a convincing win over Vision United. After a slow start, it took until the last kick of the first half for The Plums to break the deadlock, a more comfortable second half meant Pershore ran out 5 - 1 winners in this one with Dara, Troy, Kelton and Charlie all on the scoresheet and an own goal added to the tally.
Jason Neville's Under 14 Bullets picked up their opening day win over Bidford, James Rushton managing the side in Jason's absence on the main pitch at Pershore Town FC. Ben Thompson and Lorenzo Lamb with the goals to secure a 2 - 1 win.
Steve Barker's Under 15's had a tough morning away to Meadow Park, with a couple of key players missing, The Plums fell to an 8 - 1 defeat in this one despite taking the lead in the fixture.
Wayne Lomax's Under 16's started off their season in fine form, beginning their season with a dominant performance against Catshill. Tom Porter began his season with a brilliant hat-trick whilst their was a competitive debut goal for Harry Dunne as Pershore ran out 4 - 1 winners.
Stuart Townsend's Under 16's played out a 1 - 1 draw on Saturday morning in the Severn Valley Youth League, Alfie Daly scored on his debut but The Plums were just unable to find the winning goal against Cam Everside.
Jay Morgan's Under 18's travelled away from home on Saturday where a good performance saw them dispatch of Lye Town, 4 - 1. Callum Jenkinson was at the double with Charlie Shore-Nye and Junior Ceita also on the scoresheet in this one.
Onto Sunday and Wayne Lomax made it a double for the weekend, his Under 16's ran out 6 - 1 winners over Bishops Cleeve on the back pitch at Pershore Town FC. The Plums found themselves three goals ahead six minutes into the game as they begin life in the Cheltenham League, whilst the game settled from there it was Pershore that proved very dominant. Will Knowles helped himself to three goals whilst Jade Bradley, Adam Lippett and Riley Edge got themselves in the goals too.
Stuart Townsend's Under 16's fell to a 4 - 1 defeat on Sunday away to Whaddon United, the hosts scored two early goals but The Plums replied through Alex Niesiel. A red card hampered Pershore's progress in this one with Whaddon United scoring two late goals in the first half before the two sides played out a stalemate in the second half.
James Moreton's Sunday Team began their season with a fine win over Inkberrow to round off the weekend! Kian Collins hit the back of the net twice whilst Jack Hughes and Tom Banks also chipped in as The Plums ran out 4 - 2 winners to begin their Evesham & District Sunday League campaign.
