Club Admin28 Oct 2024 - 17:47

Here we are again, another weekend passes us by and we get to round-up a whole host of results throughout the Football Club.

Starting on Saturday morning with Leanne Reynolds' Under 7's who hosted a very strong Droitwich Spa outfit. After a fairly even first half, it was the visitors that took control of the game and ran away with the scoreline with The Plums tiring quickly. A big shout from Leanne for George however, he put in a brilliant defensive display.

Andy Medler's Under 9's continue their process of learning and improving after stepping into the MJPL this season. A tough game against league leaders, Solihull Moors, who have a 100% win record for these young Plums. After a goalless first half, it was the visitors Moors who were able to add to the scoreline in the second half but Pershore delivered a performance that proves there is huge improvement each week.

Tim Brown's Under 10's were away at Crowle on Saturday morning and produced a fantastic performance in this one, moving the ball really well.

Tim Brown's Under 11's travelled away to local rivals, Evesham United, in a friendly. Always a tough encounter this one between the two sides, The Robins proving a tough opposition on the day with The Plums unable to find the back of the net.

Pete Wood's Under 12's welcomed an Alcester Town side for a friendly on Saturday over at Eckington. It was The Roman's that took the lead in the game but that only fired The Plums who, who went on to score six before Alcester added a second late on. A 6 - 2 win in this one, leaving Pete really proud of his side.

Jenna Lienerth's Under 12 Girls' continued their brilliant start to the season when they hosted Kingfisher at Eckington. An end to end, fast paced and physical game played out between these two sides and it was The Plums that ran out 2 - 1 winners. All three goals in this one coming in the second half, with the visitors taking the lead before Summer Cropper equalised shortly after. With the game heading for a draw, Georgia-Mai secured all three points with the last kick of the game.

AJ Mountain's Under 13's hosted Unity Sports on Saturday morning and despite playing some good football, it was Pershore that fell to a 2 - 1 defeat in this one. Oliver Lawson scored the single goal for The Plums, but the visitors punished Pershore on the break on two occasions.

Rich Morley's Under 14's returned to winning ways in emphatic style, dismantling Hednesford Town at home, 4 - 1. The Plums found themselves 3 - 0 ahead after twenty minutes and despite a reply from the visitors, Pershore were able to regain their three goal advantage before the half time whistle. The second half became a bit more subdued with neither side adding to the scoreline. Ollie and Dara both on the scoresheet for Rich's side, with Ollie finding the back of the net three times.

AJ Mountain's Under 14 Girls' returned to winning ways at the weekend when they hosted a really strong Kingfisher side. A dominant display throughout enable The Plums to secure a 2 - 0 win, with goals from Esther Cooke and Casey Barnett handing Pershore the three points.

Steve Barker's Under 15's fell to defeat away to Broadway on Saturday in a friendly. The Plums delivering a strong performance in the first half but once against conceding late goals in a 5 - 4 defeat.

Wayne Lomax's Under 16's played out a stalemate at home against Perrywood in a friendly. Perrywood, being a year older and third in their league, The Plums more than matched them and perhaps could've won the game but for Sean Allen's lobbed finish flagged for offside.

Stuart Townsend's Under 16's made the journey to Newent on Saturday in the Severn Valley Youth League. It was the hosts, Newent & Gorsley who had the better of this tie, running out 3 - 0 winners despite a stalemate in the first half.

Onto Sunday, and wrapping up the Results Round-Up, James Moreton's Sunday Team played out a highly entertaining 4 - 4 draw away to Bretforton Old Boys at the Rec. Tom Banks, Kian Collins, Harry Emblem and Tyler Yarnold all on target for The Plums in this one as the points were shared.
