
Starting us off is Leanne Reynold's Under 7's who travelled to West Worcester on Saturday morning. A game played between two teams that struggled to be split, but The Plums Under 7's are improving each week. Big shout outs for Joshua, who scored a hat-trick, and to Tommy and Isaac who were fantastic on the day. All square in this one by full time.
Andy Medler's Under 9's played away to PlayR Pro Vipers in the MJPL on Saturday, a team they've already beaten once this season. Whilst the first half started slow, it was The Plums that took the upper hand through Quinn with a well worked goal. Second half, Josh struck twice whilst Arthur also added to the scoreline as Andy's side extended their lead in this one. A consolation goal for the hosts but Pershore will be happy once again with the scoreline and a shout out to Harry Danson who put in a huge shift to earn man of the match.
Tim Brown's Under 10's travelled to Bretforton for their first game on 9 vs 9 on Saturday morning. Despite numbers being low, The Plums put in a huge shift as they secured a positive result against their hosts; Oscar on the scoresheet in this one.
Tim Brown's Under 11's hosted Bredon in a game that was always going to be tough. Ollie GD struck twice for The Plums as Pershore made their visitors work hard for the result on Saturday.
Pete Wood's Under 12's travelled to Tewkesbury Town on Saturday morning and despite both teams starting the game with attacking threat, it was the hosts that raced into a 2 - 0 lead in the first half. The Plums did get a goal back in the second half to give hope, but Tewkesbury Colts stayed resilient and struck twice in the last ten minutes to secure a 4 - 1 win.
Grace Harker's Under 12 Girls' dispatched of Alcester Town at Eckington with two firs half strikes from Georgie-Mai! The Plums produced a fantastic display and deservedly so took a 2 - 0 lead into half time. Through a combination of dominance and hard work, they showed determination to keep a clean sheet and secure all three points.
Rich Morley's Under 14's fell to a 5 - 1 defeat at home to Banbury, with a depleted side. The Plums going in 3 - 1 down at half time, despite cancelling out Banbury's opener with a screamer from Will Morley. Guilty of not taking their chances in the second half, Banbury punished the hosts with two further goals to extend their lead and see the game out comfortably.
Jason Neville's Under 14 Bullets' fell to defeat away to Droitwich Crusaders. The hosts, Droitwich, making it ten wins from ten games in the league this season with this 4 - 2 win over The Plums. Anthony Neville and Will Grazier on the scoresheet for Jason's team.
AJ Mountain's Under 14 Girls' suffered defeat against Kidderminster Harriers in the Quarter Final of the County Cup. A game that would always prove to be a tough test, didn't disappoint for AJ's side. The Plums found themselves 3 - 0 down by half time but battled hard in the second half to get back into the game. Grace Mountain did get on the scoresheet once again but Kiddy proved just too strong on the day, winning 4 - 1.
Wayne Lomax's Under 16's had to come from behind in their County Cup Quarter Final to defeat Sheppey Swifts on penalties. It was as poor start for The Plums, finding themselves 2 - 0 down in the opening twenty minutes. Harry Dunne and Sean Allen got on the scoresheet as Pershore showed good character to get back in the game before securing a Semi Final slot with a 5 - 3 shoot-out victory.
Stuart Townsend's Under 16's drew 0 - 0 away to Welland in the Severn Valley Youth League. The two sides couldn't be separated at Upton Hill Community Centre on Saturday morning. The Plums to take on league leaders, Tuffley Rovers, next weekend.
Jay Morgan's Under 17's suffered defeat to Worcester City at the weekend, despite starting the game brightly. A collapse following a solid start, saw The Plums 3 - 0 down against their hosts and with a huge uphill task ahead. City's front men proved the difference in this one with Pershore unable to manage them and Worcester ran out 5 - 1 winners.
Onto Sunday and Wayne Lomax's Under 16's went top of the league with a 3 - 1 win away to Cinderford Town. Will Knowles and Harry Dunne both scoring with headers to give The Plums a 2 - 0 lead. Cinderford hit back to halve the deficit but Ethan Lomax struck a beauty from distance to hand Pershore all three points.
Wrapping up our round-up, James Moreton's Sunday Team fell to a 2 - 0 defeat at home to Bretforton Old Boys in the Divisional Cup. The Plums sit second in Group B with just one game to play, whilst Bretforton in third have four to play.
