"Delighted to have signed Jay. One that came out of the blue to be honest, as he had not long left Droitwich Spa to join Westfields. But when the opportunity to arose, it was one we acted on quickly. I have known Jay from a far, over the years and always been an admirer. He is a robust and strong centre half who knows the level inside out and his experience will be important for us this season. Jay has been around the block and has a good pedigree, playing for Evesham, Malvern, Worcesrter Raiders, Westfields, Peggy and Spa.

I thought he was excellent under Crowther at Spa and always imposed himself on games. He knows a few of the lads here from old and when I spoke to both of them, the feedback was 'get him'. He adds further strength to our back line and much needed, with a few injuries in that area and as we want, more competition for places. He joins with a real hunger to win, after losing the play off final to Raiders and I am very happy to have him with us."
