Two more under 18s sign first team forms

Club News5 Dec 2025 - 16:20

Two talented U18 players, James Thomas and Josh Gibbs, sign first-team forms as Pershore continue rewarding youth pathway progression.

Pershore Town are delighted to announce that two more U18 players have signed first team forms, continuing the club’s commitment to providing a clear and genuine pathway from youth football into senior men’s football.

17-year-old James Thomas has been one of the standout performers for both the U18 Floodlit side and the Development Team this season. His excellent form was highlighted last weekend when he scored a dramatic last-minute equaliser against Clee Hill. James now steps up into first team contention as he continues his impressive development.

Joining him is 18-year-old defender Josh Gibbs, who has also earned his opportunity after consistently strong showings for both the U18s and the Development side. Josh has been a reliable and composed presence across the back line this year and now progresses into the senior setup.

These signings follow on from Jack Porter and Ollie Gurney, who both signed first-team forms earlier in the season. Porter has already made multiple first team appearances in cup competitions, while Gurney continues to impress across both youth and development levels.

These additions further demonstrate the club’s ongoing commitment to not only recruiting young talent but also rewarding those progressing internally through our established pathway. The management team have been clear in their desire to integrate hungry, homegrown players into the senior squads, and James and Josh’s involvement is another positive step in that direction.

Everyone at the club congratulates both players and looks forward to seeing them continue their journey in Pershore Town colours.
