Willis, who initially joined Pershore Town during the 2021/22 season following Danny Janes from FC Stratford, has confirmed his intention to play his football elsewhere next season.
With figures of six goals in nine games, backed up by some impressive performances, in his first spell, Josh earned the attention of the then top sides in the Hellenic League Division One table, with a move to Worcester Raiders following.
Josh returned to Pershore Town ahead of the 2022/23 season after meeting Danny Janes and went on to help the Football Club return to Step 5, winning the Hellenic League Division One title alongside the Hellenic League Challenge Cup.
Scoring twenty four in thirty nine games, Josh proved to be a much talked about player but despite interest he re-signed for Pershore under Lewis Marston ahead of the season just finished.
Multiple approaches came throughout the season as Willis notched up twenty three goals in forty five games at Step 5 whilst The Plums stuttered to a finish.
With an opportunity now approaching Josh higher up the pyramid, Pershore Town FC would like to wish Josh the best of luck at a big Non-League club in the area.
"Josh has played a huge part in the fantastic journey that the club has had over the last three years." said Danny Janes on Willis' departure.
"We originally signed Josh for FC Stratford and swiftly took him with us to Pershore Town before he had even kicked a ball for us.
"He was absolutely outstanding in his first spell, technically fantastic and a player that can create and score goals. His goal and assist return has always been consistent and to a very high standard.
"I admire his drive to play at the highest standard possible and when he spoke to us around the move that became available to him, myself and Tom both said he had to take the opportunity.
"We have both said that he needs to show patience and trust the process, I have no doubt he will be a huge success and I look forward to watching his progression."
Josh Willis himself wanted to thank the Football Club for the opportunity to play and enjoy his football in the environment that so many within the Club create.
"Firstly, I need to thank absolutely everybody at Pershore Town Football Club, from the volunteers, to the supporters, to the committee and of course the management teams I've played under." said Josh Willis ahead of his move.
"This is a Football Club that gave me a chance to show what I can do, it gave me confidence to go and produce, I cannot thank the Club and the Management Teams enough for that.
"I've played close to one hundred games for Pershore Town now and I can genuinely say I've loved every single minute of it. It's a club I've massively grown fond of and one that I'll certainly be keeping a close eye on whilst proving to myself and others that I can play higher up the pyramid."
