A first half headed goal from Jordan Jones sealed the Smedley Crooke Cup for The Plums on Saturday.

Danny Janes' side rounded off their season with another cup on Saturday with a Jordan Jones first half headed goal enough to seal the win over higher ranked, Malvern Town.

The Plums, having already won the Worcestershire Senior Cup and the Hellenic League Supplementary Cup, went into the game full of confidence against the holders Malvern Town.

With a number of players injured and unavailable, Janes was able to call on a number of dual registered players to help his side over the line.

"It is another result that shows the ability we have in the squad and the fantastic changing rooms we have." said Janes.

"We were no where near our best, I was actually disappointed with the overall team performance as I felt we were second best for longer periods of the game, however, we had the best chances of the game and should have scored four or five.

"Malvern will feel they should have scored and they asked some real testing questions of us.

"No team has kept a clean sheet against Malvern this season, and although we rode our luck at times, I’m delighted for Eddie and the back four.

"The character shown throughout the game, to stay in the game, typifies the characters we have within the squad.

"It was a great way to cap off what has been a rollercoaster of a journey."
