The Plums defeated higher ranked Roman Glass in yesterday's Hellenic League Supplementary Cup Final.

Janes' side started quickly against the Hellenic League Premier Division side and soon found themselves 3 - 0 up with goals from Jordan Jones, Sean Cooke and a James Baldwin penalty.

'Glass' however, got themselves back into the game with two set piece goals and at 3 - 2 it was game on! That was until Jordan Jones immediately added to the Pershore tally for the day.

A singular goal from Roland Krol in the second half and a clean sheet from debutant Scott Loader secured a second trophy of the season for Danny Janes' side.

"The result was another statement that we can compete with teams further up the pyramid." said Janes.

"I was delighted with the performance, we dominated possession and looked dangerous every time we went forwards.

"We were disappointed with the goals we conceded as we spoke about those moments before the game, but we didn’t do our jobs well enough.

"We showed good character again not to panic when they pulled it back to 3-2.

"It is another trophy and another great day for the club. We had to utilise the squad and the players who came in did really well. Every player played their part, there was not one average performance which underpinned the overall team performance.

"Jordan Jones, Sean Cooke and Jake Cavens were exceptional. It was great to see Scott Loader make his first team debut in goal, he was fantastic and looked like he had played all season.

"We have spoke about bringing three trophies home, we have delivered two, we now prepare for a huge test on Saturday.

"Thank you to all those who travelled to support us and we look forward to seeing you on Saturday."
