Whilst Janes invited all of last season's squad to return for pre-season on Saturday, the young manager knows he has to add options in the final third to mount of a challenge for the Hellenic League Title.

"The last seven or eight games of the season; I felt we didn’t show enough quality in the final third, with the exception of a few performances." said Janes.

"It is an area the management team have discussed in terms of improving and adding more competition for places, we have worked hard over the last few weeks to make sure we create those options.

"In terms of last season; we have retained our attacking players which is great, because they all played a huge part in the success.

"We have secured the signing of a fantastic addition, a player that we believe can score 30 goals for us.

"Then we are also hopeful that another forward option is confirmed after training on Wednesday, verbally he has committed to us but we just need one final conversation.

"We also have one further option that we are hopeful we can secure. The signing would be unbelievable for the club and one that would shock quite a few clubs I believe.

"This is a player that never played consistently last season due to injury and lost the love for football, we are doing everything we can to change that.

"Elsewhere we have added an attacking midfielder who will give us the technical creativity we lacked at times in games.

"This is a player I am very excited about, on his day I don’t think there is a better player at this level.

"We are also still looking at one more option to compliment our front three options, we will see how that develops over the next two weeks."

Janes' side will continue to train throughout June after returning on Saturday before friendlies begin Tuesday 5th July.
