Following yesterday's 2 - 0 win over Hereford Pegasus, Danny Janes was once again full of praise for his players.

Taking over in November last year, Pershore Town were 11th in the league having won just 6 games from 17. A play-off dream a very unrealistic target.

Fast forward to now, following a 2 - 0 win at home to Hereford Pegasus and making it 19 wins from 22 games, Janes' side look to have secured the last play-off spot for this season.

"Reaching the Play-Offs is a fantastic achievement, the players deserve all of the credit for not only putting themselves in with a chance, but delivering an unbelievable run of results to secure that Play-Off spot." said Janes.

"I thought we started the game really well, playing on the front foot and taking the game to Hereford.

"We then had to soak up a lot of pressure, Pegasus asked a lot of questions and I thought they finished the stronger side, but we defended our goal superbly.

"The second half was tense, there was a lot of pressure on this game, but the players thrive on this and deal with these situations extremely well.

"We made a few positional changes and we had a different dimension to our attack. We make the break through, the second goal then kills the game.

"I was delighted with Eddie and the back four, defensively we were outstanding and that starts from the forwards, but we demand a lot of the goalkeeper, two centre backs and full backs so I was pleased for them.

"We now look forward to Monday against Shortwood United. It is another opportunity to progress in a cup competition and one that we will be looking to take. We will need to recover quickly and re-focus."
